Join Farm & Wilderness Conservation and Jim Andrews with the Vermont Reptile and Amphibian Atlas for an informative fall herpetology walk! Participants will explore a variety of habitats and learn how to identify common reptiles and amphibians that we encounter.
Participants will also get the chance to learn about vernal pools, beaver wetlands, streams, and small ponds and the ways we can support diverse habitats for reptiles and amphibians to thrive.
Please come prepared with suitable footwear for muddy terrain and clothing that will keep you comfortable in the woods for the duration of the event. Total walking distance will not exceed 1 mile. Vehicles with high clearance are encouraged to reach the parking area but are not required. We will be able to shuttle folks as needed.
