Farm & Wilderness Camps embody the values of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equity, and sustainability. These values are the foundation of our Vermont Summer Camp Programs and Community. We promote mutual respect inspired by the belief that "The Light of the Spirit is in every person," fostering a deep appreciation for each individual's unique qualities. 

We embrace diversity and actively encourage individuals from all racial, cultural, gender, religious, sexual orientation, and economic backgrounds to participate in our camps as attendees or staff members.

BARN DAY CAMP

Mixed Gender, Ages 4 - 10

Our Barn Day campers enjoy:

  • Barn Day campers delight in engaging in "real big things," such as using saws and hammers, milking goats, embarking on overnight hiking trips, and indulging in thrilling adventures.
  • They actively participate in games, gardening, exploration, and many other activities, relishing the opportunity to spend ample time outdoors.
  • We foster zany fun to ignite creativity and promote connections among our campers, always encouraging their unique expressions.

FIREFLY SONG

Female & Gender Non-Binary, Ages 9 - 14

Our Firefly Song campers enjoy:

  • Pushing past expectations as they learn to chop down a tree, swim laps around the entire lake or rock climb up a chimney!
  • Moments connecting with nature and each other through caring for farm animals, harvesting food, repairing bridges and building new structures, stargazing and intentional conversations in the woods. 
  • Making “someday” become today! Whether needle felting a bunny patch out of soft rabbit fur or getting covered head to toe in mud, our campers find it liberating trying new things just for the fun of it.

TIMBERLAKE

Male & Gender Non-Binary, Ages 9 - 14

Our Timberlake campers enjoy:

  • Participants build tall bonfires and bond through hiking and art projects.
  • They improve listening, teamwork, and innovation skills by designing and leading new programs for small groups or the whole camp.
  • Silent meetings encourage self-reflection.

TAMARACK FARM

Mixed Gender, Ages 15 - 17

Our Tamarack teens enjoy:

  • Specialist instructors guide challenging capstone projects in carpentry, environmental sustainability, arts, and agriculture.
  • Each area includes project planning, design guidance, and team and independent work. Students prepare for work and college while learning communication and diversity skills through active practice.
  • They also get a break from academia and usual social circles by living in Vermont's woods and contributing to an intentional community.

FLYING CLOUD

Male & Gender Non-Binary, Ages 11 - 14

Our Flying Cloud campers enjoy:

  • Practicing millennial-old skills such as; inviting fire from friction, hide tanning, plant identification, pumping water for the community, and cooking over an open fire.  
  • Getting a break from schedules and rigid timetables allows the day to unfold at their own pace, living simply without watches or electricity.
  • Living in the woods allows for deep friendships to form through shared experiences, wacky games, and community jokes, all while caring for and lifting each other up.

RED SPRUCE GROVE

Female & Gender Non-Binary, Ages 11 - 14

Our Red Spruce campers enjoy:

  • Learning how to build and use materials in their natural environment for creating their wilderness home. 
  • Leaving behind the obsession with time as they leave behind their watches and gadgets and let the day unfold at it’s own pace. 
  • Getting to know every single member of the community well and learning more about themselves through a 24 hour solo trip, exploring their backcountry skills, fostering their independence, resilience and reflection.

SALTASH MOUNTAIN

Mixed Gender, Ages 11 - 14

Our Saltash Mountain campers enjoy:

  • Thriving in a community where personal identity and self-expression shine, free from judgment in a creative and theatrical way. 
  • Learning backpacking skills, carrying everything they need on their back or in a canoe, pushing themselves with the support of their newfound friends.
